HOWARD (NBC 26) -- A curfew for the Village of Howard will be in effect between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. from June 5 to June 8.
The public order cites violence that broke out last weekend during protests in Green Bay. The order also speaks of "credible threats of damage and looting" to local businesses.
The protests in Green Bay are part of a larger protest movement that was sparked by the death of George Floyd.
According to the Village curfew order, police action will be directed toward people in mass gatherings. Police will not cite or arrest residents who are engaged in lawful activity, the order said.
Businesses in Howard may be open during the curfew.
