OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — To help encourage the younger population to get vaccinated, UW President, Tommy Thompson, visited UW-Oshkosh Tuesday at the Taste of UW Oshkosh.
“We are very much in the belief like last year, that we're going to be safe, healthy, and we'll stay open,” said Thompson. “That's the goal is to stay open and give all these wonderful students the best education possible at this great university and on our 150th birthday.
UW is offering students the chance at winning a scholarship of up to $7,000 if the system reaches its goal of more than 70 percent of students getting vaccinated.
