OSHKOSH, Wis. (NBC26) -- Police are investigating the deaths of two people in Oshkosh.
The Oshkosh Police Department’s SWAT team, Crisis Negotiation Team, the Accident Investigation Team along with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and the Oshkosh Fire Department responded around 10:45 p.m. Thursday to the 200 block of East Tennessee Avenue in Oshkosh.
Officers found a 55-year-old man from Appleton and 46-year-old woman of Oshkosh dead inside the home.
Police say the preliminary investigation indicates both people died from gunshot wounds. Officials say the two people were known to each other.
Authorities say this is an isolated incident and they are not looking for a suspect. They say the public is not in any danger.
Tennessee Avenue will be closed to traffic as police investigate the scene.
