GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC26) - Two men were treated at the hospital for serious, but not life-threatening injuries, after a crash Sunday night.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. when a man driving a Kia Soul, travelling at a high rate of speed on eastbound E. Mason Street, collided with a pickup truck traveling westbound, as the truck attempted to make a turn.
Both cars were severely damaged.
The driver of the truck, a 49-year-old Green Bay man, and the driver of the Kia, an 18-year-old Marinette man, were treated at the hospital for their injuries.
Green Bay Police are recommending OWI charges for the 18-year-old driver of the Kia.
Police also recommend drivers avoid South Webster Avenue at East Mason Street, as the crash caused power outages to the traffic lights. Temporary stop signs are in place, but with heavy traffic expected Monday morning, drivers are advised to avoid the area entirely.
