OCONTO (NBC 26) — Two people have been arrested and police are searching for a third for a shooting reported in Oconto.
According to Oconto Police, emergency dispatch received a call at around 11:24 a.m. about someone with a gunshot wound on the 2000 block of Superior Avenue. The Oconto Unified School District was notified of an incident near the high school.
Police said officers at the scene gathered information and arrested a 35-year-old Oconto man and a 31-year-old Marinette woman. Police said further investigation revealed that a third suspect may also be involved.
Police executed a search warrant on Second Street, as well as two search warrants on Superior Avenue, but the third suspect wasn't found.
The case remains under investigation.
