GREEN BAY, Wis. — At Austin Straubel International Airport, a revolving flight schedule showed the story of Monday's snow storm.

"It's never an easy pathway." traveler Matthew Rees said.

Rees was flying out of Green Bay to get to Chicago. The storm forced him to go through Minneapolis. All three of those cities are dealing with this same winter storm.

"I manage to find the bad places to fly," Rees said.

Others rae trying to fly away from the snow and to a new chapter in life.

"I'm leaving for basic training in South Carolina - Fort Jackson," traveler Ava Somers said. "Our flight's just a little bit delayed now. I've been ready to go for a few months now, so the fact that there's a snow storm and delays on the day we're going is a little bit unsettling, but it's good. I'm ready."

Many flights did come in and out on time on Monday.

"Fortunately, our crews have been able to keep the roads and the runways open," airport director Marty Piette said. "So we do have flights coming in and departing."

Piette said travelers should check with their airline before coming to the airport in the coming days.

"Make sure that your flight is on time and keep in touch with them," he said.
