ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) — With the Green Bay Packers opening the football season on the road against New Orleans on Sunday, Titletown is hosting a free, open-to-the-public Titletown Watch Party to bring fans together to cheer on the team from afar.
"We'll have great activities starting with our hail marry pass on the football field, we will have game day face station, we'll have corn hole, live music, and everything else in-between, and guests will have chances to win different packer giveaways, prizes, and everything else," said Jessica Dickhut, Titletown events coordinator. "It's going to be a great activity and a great way to cheer on the packers against New Orleans."
The free event will be held on the west end of Titletown, with the game shown on a large screen at the plaza near the west part of the football field. The screen will be visible from Titletown Square and the Grand Stairs, the terraced green space in the newly opened part of Titletown.
Events get underway at 1 p.m. with a performance from 80s and 90s cover band Johnny Wad, followed by a 2:30 p.m. performance by comedian Charlie Berens.
The event will be hosted by Packers alumnus Jarrett Bush and fans can receive Packers-themed giveaway items throughout the game.
Once the game is underway at 3:25 p.m., a DJ will be on-hand to entertain the crowd during breaks in the action. Tailgate-style food and beverage will be available for purchase throughout the event. Restrooms will be available for attendees, as well as free parking.
Carry-in coolers, glass bottles and portable grills are not permitted in the park. Also there are chairs and tables available for use at Titletown, and carry-in lawn furniture or folding chairs are not permitted. The concrete plaza space will be for standing room only.
