APPLETON (WGBA) -- With the first case of Coronavirus confirmed in Wisconsin, doctors at ThedaCare are ready to help patients in the event more cases get confirmed.
"It's a disease that spreads through similar ways of a cold and flu," said Dr. David Brooks, an infectious disease specialist. "We know the current case is isolated. If something happened here we are ready with special beds and rooms away from other patients."
Symptoms of the Coronavirus are similar to the flu - fever, cough and respiratory issues. Brooks advises people follow proper hygiene to limit the possibility of getting sick.
"Washing hands, covering cough. All of that is important," Brooks said.
