ThedaCare is one of 100 health systems nationwide urging Americans to wear a mask.
Leaders there say if the country stays on its current course there are fears hospital systems could be overwhelmed with patients.
“Unfortunately, we anticipate that as we get to the holidays and as people are really returning to more indoor activities, the risk of this continuing to spread and climb is even higher, is even greater,” said ThedaCare Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jennifer Frank.
As the risk rises, Frank says the need to wear a mask is more important now than ever.
