GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The 'Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin' contest returns for the fifth year in a row.

The contest will follow the same rules as years past, starting with a popular vote to determine the Top 16 products. From there, the Top 16 will be placed into a bracket-style tournament called, Manufacturing Madness. The products will compete against each other in head-to-head match-ups to advance to the next round. The winner will be announced on October 14th, 2020.

The competition is organized by the Wisconsin Manufacturer's & Commerce and Johnson Financial Group. The goal of the contest is to highlight the state’s vibrant manufacturing industry. Nick Novak, the Vice President of Communications & Marketing for WMC says the manufacturing industry in Wisconsin employs one in six Wisconsinites.
