The Automobile Gallery hosts 'Trick or Trunk' Halloween event in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) — Many Northeast Wisconsin kids went door-to-door for their Halloween candy, the traditional way.

But earlier on Sunday, some families visited downtown Green Bay for a different experience.

The Automobile Gallery hosted what it calls its 'Trick or Trunk' event, where children got to see 90 cars and grab bags of candy.

"It is just a different thing for families to do on Halloween," Director of Events Kathryn Gardner said. "We started it last year because of the Covid experiences that we're all having. And [we were] trying to do something that was family-friendly but also safe at the same time."

Due to the pandemic, organizers say they decided not to fill trunks with candy for kids to grab on their own. But with a donation from Rick's Toybox, trick-or-treaters received handmade, wooden cars to decorate.
