OSHKOSH, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The student accused of stabbing a school resource officer at Oshkosh West High School has been bound over for trial. 17-year-old Grant Furhman is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide.
Fuhrman waived his right to a preliminary hearing in court Thursday morning.
Court documents say Fuhrman stabbed School Resource Officer Michael Wissink with a barbecue fork at the high school on December 3, 2019. Officer Wissink fired his gun, shooting Fuhrman and himself. Both were taken to the hospital.
The $1 million cash bond continues. Fuhrman is due back in court for arraignment on February 19, 2020.
If convicted, he faces a possible 60-year sentence, with 40 years in confinement and 20 years extended supervision.
