BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) — The Brown County Breastfeeding Coalition (BCBC) is hosting a Teddy Bear Scavenger Hunt throughout the month of August to bring awareness to breastfeeding education.

Located throughout Brown County, 14 unique teddy bears are hidden at different businesses and organizations.

The scavenger hunt begins on August 1 and runs through August 29.

Each bear will be in the form of a window cling and be approximately 8.5 in x 11 inches in size. All bears will be posted to the Brown County WI Breastfeeding Coalition Facebook pagewith three clues on where to find the bear.

Clues for each bear or location will also be posted two times a day starting August 1 through 7, which is also World Breastfeeding Week.

Once a bear is found, participants should post a selfie with the bear as a public post under the comments section for each clue.

Participants will have until August 29, 2022, to post their teddy bear pictures to Facebook in order to be considered for a prize. Participants can post one picture per Facebook account. Directions will be posted on Facebook daily.

Each teddy bear location will have an individual drawing to win a prize, a $20 - $25 gift card to Festival Food, some locations may also include a gift certificate from the business or organization hosting the bear.

Those that complete the whole hunt by finding all 14 bears will be entered into a drawing for a Grand Prize, a $100 gift card or an American Girl Doll.

The Teddy Bear Scavenger Hunt is a way to bring awareness to breastfeeding education. One clue per day will be related to breastfeeding as an outreach of breastfeeding education.
