DE PERE, Wis. - Syble Hopp School in De Pere announced it is closed Thursday due to illness.
The school sent a letter to parents, also posted on its website, explaining that the school has seen a large number of people in the building suffering from stomach illness. Symptoms include vomiting, nausea, cramps, body aches, chills, and low grade fever.
The school asks that anyone with symptoms remain at home until symptoms are gone for more than 48 hours. The letter says symptoms may return after one day of feeling better.
According to the letter, staff as well as students have been impacted by the illness.
