Swimmers find car submerged in Dodge County river

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's office was called to the Rock River after swimmers reported a car submerged in the water near the bridge off of Elmwood Rd. in the Town of Hustisford on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hustisford Fire Department used a watercraft in the river to confirm a vehicle was in the river.

According to a press release, the Beaver Dam Fire Department Dive Team confirmed the vehicle was unoccupied and a towing company pulled the vehicle from the river.

Investigators said the vehicle was a BMW 323 and are asking anyone with information involving this incident to please call (920) 386-3726. No other information about the vehicle was released.
