SHIOCTON (NBC 26) — Preparing for success never starts too early.
On Saturday, students from all across Outagamie County and beyond came together at Shiocton High School for the Wisconsin Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Region Three Conference.
Students came together to learn how they can prepare for careers in business through leadership development and other educational programs.
“We have one workshop on building resiliency. So especially during COVID, a lot of people are burned out. So building that resiliency back up is a huge player in just everyday life really,” said Colton Westby, a high school senior and the Region Three Vice President.
Westby went on to share how much this student-led organization can help shape a student’s life.
“People want to go into corporations or they want to basically get a job in large businesses. So I know a lot our members are interested in sort of exceeding in communication, in their business skills and FBLA teaches that very well,” Westby said.
The conference also included speakers from FBLA alumni as they’ve shared their journey to entrepreneurship success.
