APPLETON (NBC 26) -- One 19-year-old student had a busy year by earning her college degree only six months after graduating high school.
FVTC fall 2019 graduates walked the stage of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on Friday. Among those graduates was 19-year-old Macey Pingel.
Macey graduated from FVTC with a Business Management degree. This comes only six months after graduating Chilton High School. She made good use of her time in high school through the Start College Now program, which offers students courses to earn both high school and college credits at the same time!
"Graduating high school was an accomplishment in itself but knowing that I had only a few credits left to graduate from Fox Valley Tech, that was just the next step in my educational journey," said Macey.
Macy told us after she graduated high school she had been working full-time yet she was still able to finish all her homework and classes. She's graduating debt-free.
She will be transferring to UW-Green Bay as a junior.
