DE PERE (NBC 26) — A structure fire in De Pere had firefighters working harder to put it out due to the cold.
It happened at 6:24 last night at a two-story apartment complex on Ash Street. When firefighters arrived, all tenants had evacuated. One was injured while trying to evacuate and was taken to the hospital.
Because of the extreme cold temperatures and ice, other fire units came in to assist from Lawrence, Hobart, Green Bay, Morrison, Denmark and Ashwaubenon.
No firefighters were injured. They are investigating the incident.
