GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — For the first time since the pandemic began, the St. Patrick’s Day parade returned to Green Bay.
The Irish-inspired parade marched along the Citydeck and Fox River trail beginning at Hagmeister Park and ending at St. Brendan’s Inn.
They had music, local Irish clans and dancers marching along, but it wasn’t just parade participants who got into the spirit.
“It’s all about spreading the joy and if you can’t find the joy you have to bring it along with you. Just the camaraderie and the joy of being a community,” said Susan Kane.
Following the parade, there were post parade festivities for the whole family at St. Brendan’s Inn.
“I thought it was really cool. I liked how many different groups there were in it. My favorite part was probably Kim Taekwondo, because I used to be apart of that,” said Sophia Palmer, De Pere.
