OCONTO COUNTY (NBC 26) — Jan. 17 UPDATE: The Oconto County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim in the snowmobile fatality is 56-year-old Victoria Schwartz from Wausaukee.

One woman is dead and a man is injured after a snowmobile crash Wednesday morning in Oconto County.
The sheriff's office received a call about the incident in the area of McCabe Road and Lake John Road in Lakewood at 10:54 a.m. Wednesday. When deputies arrived, they found two people who had been ejected from a snowmobile.
The victims are a 56-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man from Wausaukee. Both were transported to Antigo hospital for treatment. The woman died as a result of her injuries.
An investigation is underway by the Oconto County Sheriff's Office and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, but early findings show the snowmobile left the trail and struck a tree.
