GRAND CHUTE, Wis (NBC 26) -- On Wednesday the Bay Park Square Mall in Brown County and the Fox River Mall in Outagamie County opened back up for in-person shopping. But the experience for shoppers, was likely a bit different than it was back in March.

At the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute, many shoppers were wearing masks even though they are not required at most shops. On top of that, sanitizer stations are now set up across the mall so that shoppers can kill unwanted germs as they shop.

In the food court tables have been separated so that folks taking in a meal can have at least six feet of distance between them and others. Cleaning crews were also noticed diligently disinfecting areas across the mall that had just been used. These are just some of the changes that Jerry Mortimer, a sales manager at the Sleep Number store says, are reminding customers that the mall shopping experience, for now, has changed.

"Expect that it's not the way it used to be. And if people can do that and respect everybody's space it'll be a good shopping experience."

Both Bay Park Square and the Fox River Mall are open Monday through Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM. On Sunday the malls are open from 12 PM to 6 PM.
