SHEBOYGAN (NBC 26) — The Sheboygan Police Department is investigating the death of a 17-year-old boy. While the investigation is ongoing, police said Sunday there are no indications of foul play at this time.
Police said the boy's parents reported him missing on Saturday. Police said resources including a K9 team, a drone team, and a local fire department assisted in the search.
Police also noted there was an "outpouring of support" from the community who helped complete an extensive search.
On Sunday, Sheboygan Police said citizens who were helping in the search found the boy's body.
"The investigation is still ongoing, but at this stage there are no indications of foul play," police said in a news release.
"The family would like to thank the many people who contributed to the search," the news release states. "We ask that you keep them in your thoughts as they are grieving."
