LANGLADE COUNTY (NBC 26) — A Shawano County resident fishing in Langlade County accidentally drowned, authorities said Wednesday.
Langlade County authorities were notified Tuesday evening of someone who was believed to be fishing in the eastern part of Langlade County in the town of Wolf River. A call to dispatch reported the fisherman missing.
Authorities found the person's car and searched the area well into the night. The person's body was found Wednesday morning. The person was only identified as a 73-year-old Shawano County resident. Authorities are withholding the person's name pending family notification.
The Langlade County Coroner's Office ruled the cause of death as accidental drowning.
