WITTENBERG, Wis. (NBC 26) - An 82-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night.
It happened when a 48-year-old man, traveling east on County Trunk Q, crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, and hit a vehicle driven by an 83-year-old woman, with an 82-year-old woman from the Schofield area in the passenger seat.
All three people were taken to a Wausau area hospital. The 83-year-old woman is in stable condition, but the 82-year-old succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the hospital.
The condition of the 48-year-old man is unknown.
The investigation is still underway, but police say they do not believe alcohol was a factor.
