Schneider Shipping is donating a large trailer full of refrigerated food to Feeding America.
The trailer can hold 80,000 pounds of food. It will go the Eastern Wisconsin Center of Feeding America. The food will be available for pick-up at food bank locations across Northeast Wisconsin.
"We just want to help. The need right now is so crucial. It's always important, but now with the pandemic the need has growing exponentially. So, if we can get food out faster to our neighbors and our community, that's something that we're so excited to participate in,” said Luellen Oskey, Director of the Schneider Foundation
The whole process will take about three months. They say they need to train some drivers on this type of equipment.
