GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay says organizers will return to serving lunch indoors at their Corps Community Center beginning Monday.

At the start of the pandemic, the indoor lunch service was converted to a curbside to-go service. Now, the noon lunch program, located at 626 Union Court, will return to an in-person service with COVID-19 protocols in place.

“With vaccinations readily available in the community and COVID protocols in place, we feel we can safely take steps towards welcoming more clients into the building,” said Major Matt O’Neil, Area Coordinator. “It might not look exactly like it used to prior to the pandemic, but we are excited to welcome guests back to indoor dining and allow them to enjoy the camaraderie that they missed when our meals were served to-go.”

Lunch will be served from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Guests are required to enter on the Norwood Ave/East side of the building, where they will be temperature checked and asked COVID screening questions. Masks are required inside the building. Lunch will have a current indoor seating capacity of 30 guests at a time with to-go lunches still available.
