GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- One local non-profit relies on donations to stay open, and is in need of the community's help.
Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary is a no-kill, cage-free cat sanctuary and rehabilitation center that rescues kitties with special needs.
The non-profit accepts cats who have been abused, neglected, are blind or missing limbs, and have other physical or psychological disabilities. They say if they have room, they also accept neonatal kittens and senior cats who are at risk for euthanasia.
Safe Haven is able to continue operation through the help of donors and volunteers.
You can donate monetarily through their website SafeHavenPet.org. They also accept physical gifts off their Amazon Wish List, which is full of items to help care for their cats.
