MANITOWOC (NBC 26) — Roncalli High School was evacuated Wednesday due to a threat, Manitowoc Police said.
Officers responded to the school after police said an "unknown party" contacted the Manitowoc Fire Department with a bomb threat.
After students and staff were evacuated from the school, officers searched the building with the help of Green Bay Police and Brown County bomb-sniffing K9 units. Police said no unusual objects were found.
The investigation continues and it is believed the suspect was not from the area, Manitowoc Police said.
On the school's Facebook page, the school said "due to unforeseen circumstances," Wednesday’s celebration for the boys' basketball team has been canceled.
