GREENVILLE, Wis. — Dozens of bikers took their motorcycles on a ride throughout Northeast Wisconsin on Saturday to spread awareness about human trafficking.

Across 120 miles and five counties, the group made stops and shared the facts about the issue.

It's a message they said needs to be heard because it's happening here at home.

Organizer Becky Jacobsen said Highway 41 is a major corridor.

She hopes people will keep eyes and ears open to help combat human trafficking.

"We stand out with our shirts, so you get to see a lot of that," Jacobsen said. "We do a lot of advocating while we're out riding."

As the effort continues, Jacobsen said Bikers Against Trafficking has additional riding groups forming throughout the country and here in Wisconsin.

Last year this ride raised more than $3,000 to their cause. This year organizers hope it can raise even more.
