The Resch Aquatic Center will be closed on the July 4 holiday, according to a news release from Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry.
In Friday's statement, the news release cites "staffing concerns" for the closure. The pool will also be closed on July 2. It will open during regular hours on Sunday, July 3.
Swimmers will be still able to enjoy the Joannes Aquatic Center this holiday. That pool will be open 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday - Monday.
This comes after the city previously cited staffing issues with opening the pools earlier in the summer season. A previous NBC 26 report said only one Green Bay pool opened earlier in June due to a shortage of lifeguards and other needed staff.
