GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay has made a list of 10 best cities for high salaries and low cost of living in the Midwest. The list was published by the Ascent, a personal finance website by The Motley Fool.
According to a news release, the Ascent analyzed cost-of-living data from The Council for Community and Economic Research’s most recent Cost of Living Index — which measures the costs of groceries, housing, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and miscellaneous goods and services — along with expenditure data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and income figures from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Green Bay ranked number 10 on the list, with an estimated income-to-expense ratio of 1.159. According to the Ascent, Green Bay's cost of living estimate is $56,102 and its median household income is $65,026.
