OSHKOSH, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The American Red Cross has opened up an evacuation center for those at EAA Airventure to ride out Wednesday night's severe storms. People can take shelter at Menominee Nation Arena at 1212 S Main St., Oshkosh.
The Red Cross says they have power, restrooms, water, and a comfortable, safe place to escape the severe weather hitting the EAA event grounds.
EAA officials have also opened up its Aviation Museum as a shelter for event-goers during the storm.
The event grounds were shut down at 5:00 Wednesday evening as a safety measure and all evening events were canceled.
