DE PERE, Wis. (NBC 26) -- A public in-person hearing for the South Bridge connector in Brown County will be held at the Brown County Fairgrounds at 1500 Fort Howard Avenue in De Pere on July 8th.
Organizers say social distancing will be in place. The hearing will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be several displays and other materials for residents to take a closer look at. Attendees can also take part in public or private testimony.
The hearing will focus on the location and environmental aspects for the South Bridge Connector between County EB/F in the Town of Lawrence and Couny GV/X in the Town of Ledgeview.
The project is currently in Tier 1 Draft EIS Stage so Brown County leaders are still looking into improvements, corridor alternatives, the impacts of those and public comments. A location for the bridge has not been established yet as leaders look into several different options.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic there was a virtual hearing last night via Youtube. It began with a pre-recorded message which will also be presented at the in-person hearing version.
People attending the virtual hearing last night were still able to have their voice heard by calling, emailing or by commenting on the Youtube video.
You can still access that video, but it is no longer live.
