GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Prevea Health is now providing COVID-19 vaccines for children as young as six months old at locations across Wisconsin.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, FDA and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services have all approved of the vaccine for adolescents.
It is encouraged that all families speak with their child's pediatrician or other primary care providers about COVID-19 vaccinations to determine if their child is eligible.
For existing Prevea Health patients that wish to get their child vaccinated, you can do so by requesting the vaccine at a scheduled visit. Visits can be scheduled by calling your Prevea Health pediatrician, Prevea Health primary care provider or through MyPrevea.
For those wishing to get their child vaccinated, but are not Prevea Health patients, you are still able to make an appointment with a Prevea Health provider using the MyPrevea app.
MyPrevea is available as an app to download or at www.myprevea.com. It is accessible to anyone at no cost. You do not have to be a Prevea patient to access the app, although you must create an account.
At this time, insurance is not required to be vaccinated and there will be no cost to patients for those wishing to be vaccinated.
