Police: Oshkosh resident struck in head with gun

OSHKOSH, Wis. (NBC 26) — An Oshkosh resident was physically assaulted and struck in the head with a gun early Friday morning, police said.

The disturbance took place inside a residence located near W 10 Avenue and S Main Street. Upon arrival, police noted several people were involved.

In a statement made by the Oshkosh Police Department, officers received information that a physical disturbance took place involving a gun and that a female was injured. The female was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No one else was injured during this disturbance and initial investigation indicates that this was a targeted incident. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
