KESHENA (NBC26) — UPDATE: Police said a suspect has now turned himself in. Police said Menom Powless-Brown turned himself into the U.S. Marshal’s Office in Green Bay this morning.

PREVIOUS: Menominee Tribal Police Department needs the public's help finding a man in connection to a shooting incident Saturday on the Menominee Reservation.

Menominee Tribal Police responded to a call around 6 p.m. Saturday of a shooting in Middle Village. Officers with Menominee Tribal Police and the Shawano County Sheriff's Office found a man there who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital, then later airlifted to another hospital where he is being treated for the gunshot wound.

A second person may have also been shot during the incident. Police found that person, who was treated for minor non-life threatening injuries and taken into custody.

Police are searching for Menom Powless-Brown, 19, for his involvement in the incident. They said there is an active federal arrest warrant for his apprehension.

Powless-Brown is described as 6'1" and approximately 160 pounds.

Police believe Powless-Brown has fled the area and said he is considered armed and dangerous. They advise the public not to approach or apprehend him.

People should call 911 or contact local law enforcement for information on his whereabouts.

The Menominee Tribal Police Department and the FBI are investigating the incident. Based on preliminary investigations, police said they believe this to be a target incident and don't believe the community is in danger.
