KAUKAUNA, Wis. — Officials are investigating an officer-involved shooting near Delanglade Street and Hyland Avenue in Kaukauna. It happened after a police pursuit that started in Appleton and ended in Kaukauna around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say a Fox Valley police officer fired at and struck the suspect. The suspect was then taken to the hospital to be treated. Police said late Tuesday morning that the suspect has died from injuries in the shooting. Police are not identifying the suspect yet.
Highway 55 is closed southeast of I-41 was closed for several hours.
