SENECA (NBC26) — A possible drowning is under investigation in Shawano County.
The Shawano County Sheriff's Office said law enforcement received a call of a possible drowning around 8:30 p.m. Friday at Annie's Campground in the town of Seneca.
Officials found a 5-year-old boy in a swimming area of the campground. People and deputies performed CPR as EMS arrived on scene. The boy was transported by ambulance to ThedaCare Shawano, where he was pronounced dead.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Tigerton Ambulance Service, Shawano Ambulance Service and several private citizens.
The identity of the boy hasn't been released at this time.
