GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — A car belonging to a homicide victim has been found at an apartment complex on Green Bay's east side, police announced Thursday.

The car was found Wednesday. Police said investigators took the 2010 Ford Fusion and processed it as evidence.

It appears that the vehicle had been parked in this lot for several weeks but had gone unnoticed by the residents of the apartment complex and people passing by, police said.

The victim was previously identified as Jason Mendez-Ramos, a 36-year-old resident from Ashwaubenon.

His body was found on September 28 near the UWGB campus. Police said his death is being investigated as a homicide.
