DE PERE (NBC 26) — A suspect has been apprehended in the recent East River Trail assault that happened earlier this month, De Pere Police announced Monday.
"The De Pere Police Department, with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory, has identified a suspect for the alleged assault that occurred on October 5, 2021," police said in a statement. "The De Pere Police Department has apprehended that suspect and charges will be referred to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office."
Police said they are withholding the identity of the suspect, pending a formal charging decision by the District Attorney’s Office. Additional details will be available after charges have been formally filed, police said.
