BROWN COUNTY (WGBA) -- A heavy February storm brings plow drivers back to work cleaning local roadways. January was a quiet one in-terms of snow, but Sunday's storm reminded everyone what winter is like.
"When It snows with this kind of intensity, there is no keeping up with it," said Paul Fontecchio, the Brown County Public Works director.
Within just a few hours, several inches of snow fell in Northeast Wisconsin. That made visibility limited, and roads very slick.
"We have drivers out in two hour intervals," Fontecchio said. "But during that time several inches could fall."
Fontecchio went on to say drivers found it difficult to keep up with conditions. For most of I-41 Sunday, only one lane was visible, the rest was all covered in snow. Brown County will have drivers out through the night making sure the morning commute is safe. However, anyone driving should use caution."
