GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- The Green Bay Packers Foundation awarded a record $1 million in grants to local organizations on Wednesday.
It's part of the Packers Foundation's annual luncheon. The $1 million in grant money was awarded to 192 civic and charitable organizations, with a focus this year that included animal welfare and domestic violence.
"And we actually try to get out and visit all the organizations to learn more about their charity, and what they do, and all the good work that they do," said Green Bay Packers Foundation Chairman Tom Cardella.
The organizations all got to visit Lambeau Field on Wednesday. Lunch was served in the Atrium.
