GREEN BAY, Wis. — The parking lots were filled early with fans eager to watch the packers take the field, and there was sure a lot of cheering early on in the game.
"They came out like gang busters for the first 20 minutes of the game," said Tom Franke who traveled from Minnesota to be at the game.
"I can tell you I was very confident in the beginning," added Lauri Burgess from Elk Mound.
But as time was ticking away, some fans' stress levels were rising.
"It was like a nail biter at the end, but we pulled through, and I am just so happy that we won," said Burgess.
While other fans said they never lost hope.
"When you've got Rodgers, you can never be nervous. You always have a chance, and you know you're going to win," said Matt Hankenhof, a fan from Toledo.
For Franke, this is a very special win. He's a teacher in Minnesota and is heading back home ready to rock his Green and Gold proudly, especially around his students.
"Guess what I'm wearing to my classes tomorrow? All of this stuff. They'll find out, and it's really important because I'll get to talk about it and not have to deal with them rubbing it in. So it's great," Franke added.
Many fans are looking forward to seeing what's next for the Packers.
"I think we're going to do it. I think we're going to be a good team. We have a new coach. I think it's a great new era for the packers," said Burgess.
