GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- Packers fans sat through storms throughout the entirety of Family Night at Lambeau Field.
"The weather didn't dampen anything," Illinois-based Packers fan Lana Basham. "We're having fun."
"We loved it," Dave Tomaszewski of Crivitz said.
"It was actually kind of fun being in the rain," Mason Hause said.
And there was lots of it when the Green and Gold stepped on Lambeau Field in front of a crowd for the first time this fall season.
"The weather sucks but the Green Bay Packers are awesome," Tomazewski said. "What can you say?"
On Saturday night, the Packers hosted a rain-shortened Family Night, a team practice in front of thousands of fans.
"It's either this or snow, what do you want?" Tomazewski said.
"When we first got here and we saw the lightning, we were hoping that that wouldn't dampen anything," Drew Baughman.
But it did for some fans. The crowd was told to wait in Lambeau's concourse before practice.
"It was just the one strike they postponed it for like 20 to 30 minutes and then they let them back on the field," Baughman.
"The only reason it made me not excited is because we had to go in for a little bit," Hause said.
And some young fans were waiting for the grand finale.
"They canceled the fireworks, because the fireworks are awesome obviously," Hause said.
Though they got a little wet, Packers faithful say they had no regrets.
"It made the team play better in my opinion," Crivitz Packers fans Christian Chessher said. "It made the vibe better. I just love the rain."
