GREEN BAY, Wis. — An NFL statement says Alex Light of the Green Bay Packers has been suspended without pay for one game.

An NFL spokesperson says the suspension is for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Light will be eligible to return to the Packers’ active roster on Monday, December 24 following the team’s December 23 game against the New York Jets.

Packers officials did not issue a comment, citing "the confidentiality of the process".
