OUTAGAMIE COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Outagamie County Parks announced some snowmobile trails will be open for the weekend, but ask riders to take caution with the poor snow conditions.

Starting at sunrise Friday until sunrise Sunday, snowmobile trails in zones 1, 6, and 7 are open for use.

According to a release, the Newton Blackmour trail in the Black Creek area is open. This is the small segment of trail in Zone 2 between Calnin Road and Highway 47 that connects zones 1 and 7.

The condition of the trails are said to be in fair to poor condition with bare spots in fields and slush in some areas.

Outagamie County Parks remind riders to be cautious with the bare and soft spots of snow. They ask snowmobilers to stay on the marked trails and respect adjoining property owners. Snowmobilers should also be aware that they can be fined for riding on county snowmobile trails that are closed.
