Oshkosh YMCA offering free lunch and resource fair for Veterans

OSHKOSH, Wis. (NBC26) -- The Oshkosh YMCA on 20th Avenue is hosting its first Veterans Day Celebration on Monday.

There will be a lunch and a resource fair as well as a special guest speaker.

The public is invited to come out from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Veteran Resource Fair. There will be a lunch at noon for free for veterans, but just $10 for those wanting to join in on the lunch.

The guest speaker is BJ Elliot Prior. She will share more about her "Untold Stories of Vietnam." She will speak from about 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.

The YMCA also offers a special program for free for veterans called 'Beyond Limits." During the program veterans meet three times a week for 12 weeks. The winter session will start January 6th and will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Click HERE to register.

On Friday the YMCA offers Freedom Friday Workouts at 10:30 a.m. Guests are encouraged to wear the "RED" t-shirts on that day to show support for our local veterans.
