OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — A fugitive sex offender from Oshkosh was found and arrested on June 11 in a Las Vegas casino.

Oshkosh Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force worked together to locate Lloyd Pitzen, who was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on a felony warrant for tampering with a GPS tracking device and for sex offender registry violation.

Pitzen is currently at the Clark County Detention facility awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin.

On Dec. 7, 2019, Pitzen cut off his GPS monitoring bracelet and left a transitional living program house at 1105 Jefferson Street in Oshkosh, where he had lived after being released from prison on Oct. 15, 2019.

Pitzen was convicted in 1982 of four counts of second degree sexual assault. One victim was a 15-year-old female stranger. The other three victims were adult female strangers. He entered into all of the victim’s bedrooms while they were sleeping.

Pitzen was also convicted of other sexually related offenses: disorderly conduct, two counts of burglary and battery. In 2004, he was convicted of a drug related offense and from 2004-2016 he was convicted of several sex registry violations.
