OSHKOSH, Wis. — School will now be in session on President's Day, the Oshkosh Area School District says.
All schools within the Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) will now be in session on Monday, February 18, to make up for time lost when schools closed due to recent weather.
February 18 was previously scheduled as a staff professional development day, the school district says in a news release, and has now changed to an instructional day with all students attending school.
According to the school district, Oshkosh schools have experienced four inclement weather days: January 28, 30, 31, and February 7. The school district says two inclement weather days were built into the calendar by the length of the school day and can be absorbed; a third inclement weather make-up day was planned and currently will be used on June 10, 2019; and, the fourth inclement weather make-up day will now take place on February 18.
