OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — The Oshkosh Area School District has launched a new fully-accessible mobile classroom and food truck — the Brewing Futures Mobile CAFE (Coaching Ability For Employment).

The customized food truck is operated by OASD students receiving special education services to provide real-life working opportunities, allowing them to engage with their community in a meaningful way and showcase their employability skills.

The Brewing Futures Mobile CAFE arrived in the District in early June 2022 and a ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday afternoon.

Community organizations and businesses can request the Brewing Futures Mobile CAFE to be a part of community events and business visits. The menu will be flexible based on the event and will consist primarily of beverages, including coffee drinks prepared with equipment on the truck, and prepackaged and prepared food items, including, but not limited to bagels, muffins, and fruit cups.
